TI-84 Plus
The TI-84 plus was the follow up to the TI-83. Very little was different for a long time, mostly just improved memory and a USB port. However, in early Spring 2010, the 84 got an operating system that gave it mathprint. This means what you type on your calculator looks like what appears in your textbook, not calculator code. This makes the 84 vastly superior to the old 83.

The latest version of the 84 family is the TI-84 Plus CE, reviewed here. It has a lot of upgrade from the older versions of the TI-84 Plus. Those include:
- Rechargeable battery
- Lighter weight, just 7 oz.
- Color backlit screen
- New version of the operating system with cool new math features.
