TI-89 TitaniumThe Ti-89 Titanium is an updated version of the original TI-89. The TI-89 Titanium has a Computer Algebra System (CAS), meaning it can solve equations and manipulate variables. This is one of Texas Instruments' most powerful calculators. It is generally recommended for students taking at least calculus. Keep in mind that while the TI-89 Titanium is allowed on the SAT and the AP Calculus test, it is prohibited on the ACT and certain other tests. If you plan on taking the ACT, you'll need to make arrangements for another calculator on test day or to buy something else.
